Hello, Rolesville High School families. This is Mrs. Lassiter calling with weekly updates. I really hope I only have to talk to you one time this weekend!
We are administering the PSAT on Wednesday to the juniors and seniors who registered to take it. Students who are taking the assessment must be here on time.
On Oct. 19th, we will wear orange as part of Unity Day – Together Against Bullying. October is bully prevention month.
We have another early release on Friday, October 21st.
Midterms are scheduled for the week of October 24th. Please check with your Ram to determine if there is an exam for each class and when it might be.
Also on Oct. 24th, Jostens will be here during the day and also from 5:30-7:00 PM for parents to talk with representatives about class rings. Then on Tuesday, they will be back to assist seniors with orders for graduation products. We will send information home with juniors and seniors next week.
The National Art Honor Society is hosting a Halloween Art Show at the Red Gallery at Rolesville Town Hall on Friday, October 28th from 6:30-8:30 PM. The NAHS hopes you will join them for a show that features work done in the spirit and style of Knathan Weissenstein.
Ninth, tenth and eleventh grade students took pictures on Thursday. The price for ordering pictures remains the same through Sunday, October 16th. Don’t forget to place your online order. The makeup day for students who missed pictures will be Nov. 17th. There will only be one day for senior pictures and that day is October 28th. There will be no makeup day.
We have been reminding students that yearbooks are on sale now at $65. This price is good until Sunday, October 16th. Prices go up on that date.
The Rolesville Athletic Club is sponsoring the Rams Scare Run for Saturday, Oct. 29th. It will include a 5K, costume race and family scare walk. You may either register to participate or make a donation. Proceeds benefit athletics at RHS.
The RHS PTSA is in the short rows of planning for Reindeer Days. We are going to need lots of student and parent volunteers on Friday evening, Nov. 4th and Saturday, Nov. 5th from 7 AM to 7 PM.
In case you were not yet aware, WCPSS will open on a two-hour delay on election day, Nov. 8th.
That will do it for this week. Have a great weekend!
