    Hello, Ram families!  This is Mrs. Lassiter calling with the weekly announcements from Rolesville High School.

    The WCPSS school board approved the assignment plan for next year.  Student assignment will be finalizing the assignment strips in December and we anticipate distribution the first week of January.

    Counselors asked me to share several things with you.  They will go to each AP class next week to present information about AP exams which will be administered in May.

    They also want to remind families that students need to be in attendance each day as they prepare to end the second quarter and take final exams.  If you have questions about your child's academic performance please contact your child's teacher.

    Seniors and families are reminded that senior dues and fines need to be cleared as soon as possible.  Also, any senior who has not ordered his/her cap and gown should do so through Jostens.com.

    I would like to add that parents who are exploring scholarship options may want to go to the WCPSS online scholarship information at www.scholarshipplus.com/wake/.  It is a pretty comprehensive resource that asks for key information to help locate scholarship opportunities.  Also, keep in mind that our counselors keep information in a notebook in the Student Services department.  We also have Mrs. Waldrum here on Wednesday mornings. She is available to meet by appointment.  Presently, she is meeting with senior families, but she will soon open meeting times for juniors.

    We have asked seniors to stop by Student Services to complete a form to show college acceptances.  We also want copies of letters regarding scholarships, so we can recognize these students at the senior awards program.

    PTSA has a meeting on Monday evening at 6:30 PM.  We look forward to seeing you there.

    FBLA is collecting non-perishable foods for Tri-Area ministries through December 16th.  Also, B-TAG and STAG are collecting small toiletries, snacks and socks for donation baggies. Their deadline is also December 16th.
