    Hello, Rolesville High School families.  This is Mrs. Lassiter calling with weekly updates. 

    Midterms are scheduled for this coming week.  We will begin with first period on Monday, second period on Tuesday and so on.  Friday will be for make-ups.  Keep in mind that Friday is also the end of the first quarter.

    I want to remind you that while the original WCPSS traditional calendar had a teacher workday set for Oct. 31st, we will now be in school that Monday in response to the day we missed due to Hurricane Matthew.

    Also on Monday, Jostens will be here during the day and also from 5:30-7:00 PM for parents to talk with representatives about class rings.  Then on Tuesday, they will be back to assist seniors with orders for graduation products.  We sent juniors and seniors to advisory early this past week for them to pick up packets to help families prepare for orders.  We have extras in the office if needed.

    Tuesday evening at 6:30, we will host a Multicultural Night to support our families who speak Spanish and feature the work of our students who come from many different countries.  The same evening at 6, we will host a fall band concert.  On Thursday evening at 6, we will host a fall orchestra concert.

    The National Art Honor Society is hosting a Halloween Art Show at the Red Gallery at Rolesville Town Hall on Friday, October 28th from 6:30-8:30 PM.  The NAHS hopes you will join them for a show that features work done in the spirit and style of Knathan Weissenstein.

    Senior pictures are scheduled for Friday, October 28th.  There will be no makeup day. 

    Yearbook prices are now $70.  Orders must be placed online.  Prices will increase as the year progresses until we stop sales.

    The Rolesville Athletic Club is sponsoring the Rams Scare Run next Saturday. It will include a 5K, costume race and family scare walk.  You may either register to participate or make a donation.  Proceeds benefit athletics at RHS.

    The RHS PTSA is in the short rows of planning for Reindeer Days.  We are going to need lots of student and parent volunteers on Friday evening, Nov. 4th and Saturday, Nov. 5th from 7 AM to 7 PM.

    In case you were not yet aware, WCPSS will open on a two-hour delay on election day, Nov. 8th.
