Graduation Rehearsal at Raleigh Convention Center - June 5: This practice is required in order for a student to march in the ceremony. Students are required to be on time and need to give themselves extra time to park and get into RCC. The parking deck beside RCC is the easiest option for parking, but students need to be prepared to pay. Carpool or chauffeur might be a great idea in this scenario. The practice is closed to outside observers. Students do not need their graduation attire and should come comfortably dressed. The one exception is that girls might wish to wear their shoes to practice walking across the stage. Students will either receive their tickets at this event or a slip that reminds him or her that fees are still owed. Fees cannot be paid at rehearsal! They must be paid at school. We will also share information with students about how to purchase stage pictures through Strawbridge after the ceremony.
Senior Baccalaureate: The program is set for 10 AM on June 1st for Lifepointe Church on Durant Road. Seniors and their families are invited. Seniors must arrive with a cap and gown by 9:30 AM. Families need to be seated before 10 AM. Light refreshments will follow.
Rising Senior Tux and Drape Pictures: Strawbridge sets up at our school rather than have students report to a studio. This summer, several photographers will be on site during the week of July 29 through August 2. Strawbridge is going to send a letter to the address we have in PowerSchool and it will have an appointment date. If you cannot make that date and time, you will call Strawbridge to either reschedule for another RHS day and time or another WCPSS school that is also doing the same thing but at different times for Strawbridge. If you do not get a letter by the third week in June, I suggest calling Strawbridge. If they send me an appointment list, I will let you know we have a list on site. Also, there are postcards in Student Services that juniors need to pick up. It explains how you can save $10 on a package. The card is required. We will post this information on the banner of the homepage, also.
Summer School Applications: They are available in Student Services and the main office. These spaces are for the purpose of promotion to the next grade and are limited. We may not be able to accommodate all who make the request. The deadline for applications is June 12 at 3 PM.

Got aluminum can tabs? RHS student, Sterling Elliott, will be participating in the 2019 NC Youth Legislative Assembly. YLA participates in a community service project: PICK UP the TAB! This is a fundraiser that collects thousands of dollars for the Ronald McDonald House programs simply by collecting tabs from aluminum beverage or food cans in any containers (ex. Spaghetti-O’s). Sterling plans to set up a collection station in the cafeteria April 1-12 and April 22-June.1. Please consider donating your tabs.
