    Good evening Rams Families! This is Phelan Perry, principal of Rolesville High School, with some important information regarding the beginning of the new school year.

    On Thursday, August 25th from 5:00 - 7:00, the school will be open for students to walk their schedule as well as attend informational sessions with the RHS Administrative team at 5:00, 5:30, and 6:00.  Parents are encouraged to attend with students.  This will be a floating event so you are welcome to come anytime between 5:00 and 7:00.  

     

    Monday, August 29th is our first day of the 2022-2023 school year! Our school hours this year are 7:20 - 2:18. Students may enter the building at 6:45 daily and will be considered tardy if not in class by 7:25. Students will be given a grace period for the first 5 days of school.

    All students can see their current schedule in PowerSchool. Students will be able to request changes during the drop/add period which will run from 8/24/22 to 8/31/22. All requests must be submitted on the schedule change form that can be found on this page.  Schedule change requests will be processed in the order that they are received. For clarification, these are only requests -- some requests may not be able to be accommodated due to a variety of reasons.

     

    This year the daily bell schedule has changed to incorporate a built-in remediation/enrichment time (RAM Time).  This schedule can be seen here

     

    Parents and students are reminded that the school nutrition program is back to charging for meals this year. Please see the information on the WCPSS website for meal prices and adding funds to student accounts. Also, we encourage anyone who may need assistance to complete the lunch form application at https://www.myschoolapps.com/.  These forms are also available upon request at the school. 

     

    Next, several students and parents have inquired about school supply lists. Typically, teachers will provide students with any necessary materials on the first day of class when reviewing the syllabus. As such, students just need the basic school supplies to start the year - there is no need for specific items to start the year.

     

    Finally, later this week, I will send out additional information regarding the start of school which will cover several items including carpool information, our school expectations, and other pertinent information. Also, be sure to check our school website, student emails, and our social media platforms for information.

    This year we are selling "All Sports Passes" for the first time! The goal is to make it affordable to support ALL Rolesville Athletic teams. Many times I witness kids waiting for rides that might attend a sporting event and support classmates if they didn't have to pay full admission for 30 minutes while they wait.This is a BIG DEAL and may need to go out separately.

    Passes are good for home regular season games for All Sports. No passes are not accepted for endowment games, playoff games or away games. NOTE: Once the pass is assigned to a person, it is non-transferrable for the remainder of the 22-23 season.
